Procedure to claim compensation against BEST in case of accident against vehicle
Usually in case where a BEST Bus collides with your vehicle and damage has occurred and no life has been lost, one has to immediately intimate the police about the incident and obtain an FIR. Record the details of the car, the driver, and the witnesses in the FIR.
Claim the damage from BEST Insurance and not your own insurance company as one cannot gain profits from a loss occurred.
Note that the complainant can send an intimation letter/ legal notice to the BEST Authorities, and in case there if there is no response from the said concerned authorities, one can take help of an Advocate for full and final settlement.
The complainant has to submit/exhibit all the documents/evidence such as photographs of the damaged vehicle, bill from the mechanic (to claim amount from the BEST), FIR copy, RC Book, Valid Insurance Policy, Driving Licence, C Form and other such allied evidences to Administrative Manager (Claims), Traffic Department (Claim section), 2nd Floor Mumbai Central Bus Depot, Jahangir Bomanji Behram Marg, Mumbai - 400 008 and the same can be emailed at claims@bestundertaking.com.
